Research & development at DyStar


We are one of the few suppliers that invest in R&D. Every year we spend three to four percent of our sales on R&D, focusing especially on products and technologies that improve fastness properties, exhibit a better ecological profile and provide cost advantages for our customers. Building on our heritage which stretches back more than 150 years, innovation will continue to play a central role at DyStar in the future to help our customers remain at the leading edge of the textile industry.

Levafix Brilliant Red CA

Levafix Brilliant Red CA creates a unique brilliant red and in combination with Levafix Orange CA and Levafix Scarlet CA clear and bright pastel shades.
It meets highest fastness requirements and is metal and AOX-free.
Realan® EHF

With a view to continuing trends towards increased fastness demands, more ecologically friendly processing and improved economy - DyStar have introduced two new wool reactive dyes.
New Dianix®dyes

As part of its ongoing commitment to innovation DyStar is launching four new disperse dyes meeting performance and ecology specifications of the leading sportswear Brands and Retailers. These products broaden DyStar’s leading position in effects for this demanding industry segment, particularly addressing color fastness, ecology and productivity in the dyehouse.
Remazol Deep Black GWF

Textile producers can now experience a whole new dimension of black with Remazol Deep Black GWF. This versatile new reactive dye produces exceptionally deep shades of black with unique fastness properties, setting new quality standards on the market. Its excellent build-up and good reproducibility make it a cost-effective alternative to standard blacks.
Electrochemical dyeing

The European research initiative EUREKA selected the electrochemical dyeing project carried out by DyStar in collaboration with the University of Innsbruck’s Institute for Textile Chemistry and Textile Physics (TID) in Dornbirn, Austria, and Getzner Textil AG as the winner of the Lillehammer Award.
Remazol Ultra Carmine RGB

Remazol UltraCarmine RGB is DyStar’s latest specialty dye for deep red, burgundy and brown shades. This new high-performance reactive dye is an important supplement to the Remazol Ultra RGB ternary combination recently brought onto the market.
